Brethren -
As we say goodbye to the wintery weather, we are quickly approaching Barbeques and family fun. My goal is to bring all of us together to enjoy the upcoming spring and summer months. On April 17th we have a potluck and game night (utilizing the Nintendo Wii) scheduled, so I hope all members and their families can make it out. We must continue to grow as a family and support each other in all our future endeavors. I want to give special thanks to Sharon Lodge, Worshipful Jesse C. Chou and Booze Allen Hamilton for their kind contributions to the Share program.
As always, I welcome any and all ideas concerning Sharon Lodge’s active community participation. Giving to those less fortunate is a duty we all should embrace.
My thoughts on the Breakfast: It is time for me to lead, and to bring up a topic to which many of us have contemplated for some time now; the March breakfast was our last breakfast for a while. We have not been making much profit on it and realizing that this is tradition is why after much discussion, I am moving the breakfast to a once a quarter venue (big all out Breakfast to be held a little later in the morning with a little better advertising/marketing). I realize that this decision cuts into lodge tradition but also realize that some traditions need to adapt and maintain flexibility, especially in today's economic situation/turmoil.
